Round candle plate/tray made of iron with four holders for crown and antique candles. The candle plate has a low edge and underneath are four feet so that air can flow and prevent the plate from becoming too hot if the candles burn down. The plate is hand made at Våges in Småland.

Clean in electric oven, not gas. Set the temperature to 90-100 °C.  Remove loose candlegrease with a wooden or plastic tool, don’t scrape! Cover a baking tray with aluminium foil, and block up the candle holder upside down on some pieces of cork or wood so that it is elevated a few centimeters above the foil. Place the tray in the oven, not gas oven, and let it stay there for about 15 minutes. The candlegrease will melt and end up on the foil. After removing the tray from the oven, dry the candle holder with kitchen paper or a cloth.
